A three-day higher education workshop drive is being held in Kargil by the Eklavya India Foundation

 

Eklavya India Foundation in association with District Administration Kargil organised a three-day higher education workshop drive from Syeed Haider Razvi Memorial Government Higher Secondary School, Sankoo on December 5.

The team of Eklavya India Foundation in presence of CEO Kargil, Mushtaq Ahmed started the workshop drive at the Higher Secondary School where teachers and a large number of students of 11th and 12th classes participated.

The workshop drive aims to create awareness among students in Kargil about higher education opportunities in India; encourage the admission of a large number of students from remote areas of Kargil to reputed universities outside Ladakh for better higher education. More than a thousand students are expected to participate and benefit from the three-day workshop drive.

Mentors of Eklavya India Foundation including Raju Kendre, Founder (Chevening Scholar, FCDO UK) and Rushikesh Ukirde (JNU) informed students about scholarship programs and opportunities in higher education.

The students were informed in detail about how to apply for scholarship opportunities in different fields at reputed universities in India and abroad.

Representatives of the foundation informed that in the near future, they are planning a virtual training program and in April next year they will conduct a workshop that would focus on the maximum participation of students in National level entrance exams.

The students actively participated in the interaction session and put forth their views. They also raised their queries regarding different kinds of scholarships offered by top colleges and universities in India and abroad.

The students thanked Eklavya India Foundation and District Administration Kargil for organizing such a workshop drive which will immensely benefit the student community of the Kargil district.
