Director Tashi Dolma Oversees Welfare Initiatives in Nubra: ICDS Centers and Education Facilities Reviewed

Director of Social and Tribal Welfare for UT Ladakh, Tashi Dolma, conducted a visit to the Office of the Child Development Project Officer, ICDS Project Nubra in Diskit, Nubra, on April 22. Accompanied by Incharge CDPO Nubra, Sonam Tsephel, Director Tashi Dolma inspected the ICDS Anganwadi Centers at Partapur, Nubra.

During the visit, Director Tashi Dolma inquired about the operational efficiency of the centers and instructed ICDS Supervisors, along with Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) and Anganwadi Helpers (AWHs), to ensure timely updates of beneficiary children’s details on the Poshan Tracker. She also directed them to regularly conduct home visits.

At the Partapur III ICDS center, Director Tashi Dolma inspected the newly constructed prefabricated unit and emphasized the need for a separate kitchen and storeroom. She instructed the CDPO to submit furniture requirements proposals for all Anganwadi Centers.

At the CDPO Office, Director Tashi Dolma engaged with supervisors and staff, urging them to work with sincerity and dedication for public welfare.

Similarly, Director Tashi Dolma inspected the old building of Lamdon Model School in Diskit, along with the Principal, Lamdon School; Zonal Education Officer, Nubra; and Incharge CDPO, to explore the possibility of operationalizing the proposed Eklavya Model Residential School at Nubra until the dedicated EMRS building is established.
