District Science Seminar held at DIET Leh

District Science Seminar themed, ‘Basic Science for Sustainable Development Challenges and Prospects’ was held for the students of Classes 8th to 10th at DIET, Leh on September 14.

The seminar was organised by the Chief Education Office, Leh in collaboration with the DIET, Leh. Students of classes 8th to 10th from different government and private schools in the district participated in the District Science Seminar.

Diskit Angmo of Govt. Higher Secondary School, Saspol secured 1st position, and Deachen Chosdon of Lamdon Model Senior Secondary School, Leh secured 2nd position in the seminar.
Principal, DIET, Leh, Tsetan Dorjai, and District Education Planning Officer (DEPO), Leh, Sonam Wangchuk were also present on the occasion.

Further, it is informed that the winners would compete at the UT level and thereafter at the National level Science Seminar to be held in Kolkata on November 3, 2022, which would be organised by the National Council of Science Museums under the Ministry of Culture, GoI.
