On November 16, the District Police in Leh apprehended three individuals and seized 986 grams of substances resembling charas from their possession. The incident unfolded on the evening of November 15 when a patrolling party from the Police Post Choglamsar, conducting routine surveillance in the Shey-Sindu Ghat area around 16:40 hours, discovered a vehicle with registration number HP34E 1930 parked in an isolated location under suspicious circumstances.

Approaching the vehicle, the patrolling party requested the driver, identified as Tak Ram (resident of Shikhari, Kullu Himachal Pradesh), to produce relevant documents.
