Empowering Democracy: Virtual Training for Political Parties and Media in Ladakh

The Chief Electoral Officer of Ladakh, in collaboration with the Chief Electoral Officer of Jammu and Kashmir, organized a two-day virtual training/workshop for political parties and media personnel on February 16-17.

On February 16, during the training/workshop for political parties, sessions were conducted on nominations, EVM preparedness, Election Expenditure Monitoring, and the Model Code of Conduct, along with general instructions to political parties. These sessions were led by National Level Master Trainers (NLMT) from IIIDEM, Election Commission of India.

Similarly, on February 17, during the training/workshop for Media Persons, sessions focused on the Role and Importance of Media in Elections, Media Facilitation, and Media Regulations. These sessions were also conducted by National Level Master Trainers (NLMT) from IIIDEM, Election Commission of India. Additionally, Media Persons received hands-on training on EVM and VVPAT.

The District Election Officers of Leh and Kargil arranged the training/workshop in their respective offices. Representatives of political parties and media persons from both districts of Leh and Kargil attended the event.
