“Workshop on NCPCR Guidelines: Addressing Bullying and Cyberbullying in Leh Schools”
Director of School Education for UT Ladakh, Tsering Paldan, highlighted the importance of creating a safe educational environment during a one-day workshop held at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Leh on July 20. The event, attended by Principals and Headmasters from both private and government schools, focused on implementing NCPCR guidelines to prevent bullying and cyberbullying.
The workshop featured sessions led by NCPCR representative Anshun Goswami from Delhi, along with local experts including District Social Welfare Officer Nilza Angmo, Inspector-in-charge of the Cyber Unit Leh Jamyang Namgyal, and SI Cyber Unit Leh Dechen Angmo. These sessions offered practical insights into prevention strategies and discussed the legal aspects of tackling bullying issues.
Participants actively engaged in discussions and gained valuable knowledge on how to effectively apply anti-bullying measures within their school communities. Principal DIET Leh, Deldan Angmo, stressed the ongoing need for concerted efforts in combating bullying and encouraged attendees to implement the workshop’s strategies in their respective institutions.
