Green Futures: Celebrating World Forests Day with KGBV School

The Nyoma Forest Department marked World Forests Day at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) School on March 21st.
The event was honored by the presence of Spenba Tsering, Chairman of the Village Education Committee, and Tsewang Dorjey, Range Forest Officer.

Emphasizing the significance of the occasion, the Forest Department organized painting competitions for students centered around the theme ‘Forest and Innovation: New Solutions for a Better World.’

Acknowledging the students’ creative efforts and dedication to sustainability, prizes were awarded to the winners.

In alignment with the Forest Department’s dedication to environmental preservation, a tree planting initiative was also carried out during the event. This endeavor underscores the collective commitment to fostering a greener and more sustainable environment for generations to come.
