This morning, His Holiness the Dalai Lama made his way from his residence to the veranda beneath the Tsuglagkhang, the Main Tibetan Temple, at Thekchen Chöling in Dharamsala, HP, India. There, he was greeted by 353 performers, comprising members of opera groups from various Tibetan settlements, who had participated in the recent Sho-tön Opera Festival.
During the gathering, representatives from each group took turns singing prayers and auspicious verses to His Holiness. The atmosphere was filled with reverence as singers offered prayers for His Holiness’s long life, auspiciousness for Tibet, and good fortune. His Holiness listened attentively, acknowledging the cultural richness and significance of each performance.
