Ladakh Showcases Unique Tourism Offerings at International Events

The 2023 edition of the International Tourism Exchange ITB Berlin marked the first in-person event since the COVID pandemic began. The event took place from March 7 to 9 in Berlin, Germany, and featured several Indian states, including Ladakh, under the Incredible India banner of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.

Representing Ladakh at the international tourism fair were Director (Tourism), Kunzes Angmo, AD (Tourism), Kargil, and a team of local hoteliers, travel agents, and tour operators. The presence of Ladakh at the event was deemed an excellent opportunity to showcase the unique geographical and cultural aspects of the region to the international tourism fraternity.

Since the establishment of the Union Territory of Ladakh, the Administration has been actively promoting Ladakh as a year-round tourist destination. This effort includes participation in various events such as the South Asia’s Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) in Greater NOIDA, NCR, the IATO Annual Convention in Lucknow, Bharat Parv in Lal Qila, Delhi, and the Flavours of North India Food Festival organized by North Zone Cultural Centre (NZCC) in Patiala.
