A team of officers from the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, visited the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) Kargil on November 5 to evaluate its performance and potential inclusion in the National Initiative for DIETs as Centers of Excellence.
During their visit, the team toured key facilities, including classrooms, lecture halls, a digital studio, and the community radio station. They commended the institution’s commitment to advancing programs aligned with various ministry initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of education.
Gulzar Danish welcomed the team, while Dr. Willayat Ali presented a detailed overview of DIET Kargil’s achievements and ongoing programs.
Principal of DIET Kargil, Syeeda Banoo, expressed gratitude to the Ministry for selecting DIET Kargil for the second phase of the national DIET Upgradation Program. She requested the team to consider DIET Kargil for recognition as a Center of Excellence, a proposal that received positive feedback from the visiting officers, marking a promising step toward this national recognition.
