Nari Zangla Wins Volleyball Tournament in Zanskar: Culture Preservation Society Encourages Youth Sports

On February 16th in Kumik, Zanskar, the Culture Preservation Society Kumik organized a volleyball tournament in which eight teams from different villages participated. The final match was played between Elite Stara and Nari Zangla, with the latter emerging as the winners.

The President of the Culture Preservation Society Kumik noted that archery equipment is costly and does not provide sufficient physical exercise, while volleyball is an affordable and healthy option that attracts many young people.

SDM Zanskar, Sonam Dorjay, commended the society for organizing the tournament and providing a positive outlet for youth to engage in sports and stay away from negative influences.

In addition to the tournament, there were colorful cultural programs presented by Ama Tsogspa and the winning team. Prizes were distributed by the chief guest and other attendees to the winners, runners-up, and other participants.
