National Institute for Sowa Rigpa Hosts Workshop and Training Program for Practitioners, Supported by Distinguished Guests

National Institute for Sowa Rigpa in Leh hosted a two-day workshop and training program for practitioners of Sowa Rigpa on July 6. The event was graced by the presence of Brigadier Dr. B.D. Mishra, the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, who served as the chief guest. Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, the Member of Parliament from Ladakh, and Colonel (Retired) Dr. Tsewang Smala were also in attendance as distinguished guests.

The workshop commenced with the lighting of a butter lamp by the Lieutenant Governor.

During the event, Brigadier Dr. B.D. Mishra (Retd) expressed his delight regarding the establishment of the National Institute of Sowa Rigpa in Leh. He emphasized the significance of preserving and promoting the Sowa Rigpa system of medicine for the enhanced healthcare of the general public. The Lieutenant Governor assured the Institute of full support from the Union Territory administration.

Member of Parliament, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, spoke about the importance of preserving and promoting the Sowa Rigpa System of medicine and pledged support for the institution’s promotion.

Earlier, Dr. Padma Gurmet, the Director of NISR, provided an overview of the rapid progress made by the Sowa Rigpa system of medicine in the Ladakh region and the wider Himalayan region.
