National Sports Day held at Indoor stadium Kargil

District Youth Services and Sports Department Kargil celebrated National Sports Day at Indoor Stadium Kargil on August 29.

Chief Guest of the occasion, Executive Councilor Works, LAHDC Kargil, Mubarak Shah Nagvi appreciated the department for organising the event on National Sports Day and congratulated players for showcasing their talent in their respective fields.

He assured that UT Administration and LAHDC Kargil are putting all efforts to develop state-of-art sports infrastructure in the district to develop sports.

While expressing optimism, EC works said in the future more players will come out and present their skills on various national and international platforms.

He also appreciated the large participation of girls in sports calling it a positive sign of a developing society. To show their skills, earlier demo matches like boxing, stretching, taekwondo, thangta, etc. were played by the players.

Later, mementos were distributed among the players and the allied departments for successfully organising the event.
